Building the capacity of young people to engage as agents of change in their communities, the country, and the world.

Throughout history, young people have been a driving force in creating positive change in their communities, their nations, and the world. Given the opportunity, youth are highly capable of designing solutions to the challenges they face daily.

World Vision's Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) provides that opportunity. Through YEP, young people are encouraged, trained, supported, mentored, challenged, and mobilized to "be the change" they want to see in their communities.

The program helps teens develop vital skills in leadership, civic engagement, critical thinking, advocacy, team building, and other key areas. Youth are equipped to initiate change in their communities. They learn to identify local issues and problems, to research and propose solutions, and to present their recommendations to local and national public officials.

World Vision embraces a movement that goes beyond treating youth as passive participants or mere recipients of support. Programs like YEP actively engage young people, helping them become strong advocates for the decisions and activities that impact their quality of life.

Join us in promoting a movement to transform communities through youth-led change!
