Greater New York

World Vision serves greater New York City, focusing on the South Bronx and Washington Heights. Our major work began in 2001 following a limited presence in the late 1990's.

Our programs include Essential Supplies, Teacher Resource Center, and Building Materials.

In FY13, we served nearly 530,000 children, youth, and adults with our more than 300 partner organizations and nearly 1,800 volunteers.

She initially got the opportunity through Operation Exodus, a mentoring and tutoring program that receives training from World Vision, and through World Vision's Youth Empowerment Program. YEP helps vulnerable teens gain skills in leadership and civic engagement.   Read more...
