After years of drug addiction and homelessness, Cantrell found help and turned her life around. She now assists domestic violence victims. She currently has a family living with her along with her own family. For the Guytton family, chaos began one bitter winter night when they received a phone call that changed their lives forever. Joyce Guytton received the painful news that her sister had died that evening in a car accident. Mr. and Mrs. Guytton agreed to take her sister’s six children into her home. Not long afterward Mrs. Guytton’s daughter called and told her that she had lost her job so she and her 3 children also moved into Joyce's home, now totaling 12 children!

World Vision's Storehouse in Chicago donated women's clothing to Bethesda Church--a World Vision partner. The church then organized a community-wide distribution, which took place on October 11, 2008. The line stretched down the street from the church as women waited to pick out quality clothing. It was a big day. It was a very big day," says Leonor Ortiz who works at the church. "The excitement was incredible."
