Meeting Essential Needs
World Vision works to meet the basic needs of children and families in under-resourced areas across the U.S., including Seattle and Tacoma. World Vision serves families in need by offering critical resources such as new backpacks, school supplies, hygiene products, and clothing donated by generous corporations. These high-quality products sustain families, allowing them to retain a sense of dignity as they strive to break out of poverty.
Since 1997 the World Vision serving Seattle and Tacoma has provided more than $31 million worth of top-quality donated products to schools, churches, and community groups that assist those in need throughout the metropolitan area.
How We Work
World Vision actively solicits donations of new, high-quality surplus inventory from manufacturers and corporations. These charitable donations allow businesses to receive tax deductions as well as generate positive public relations for their generous support of the community. The donated products are distributed to pre-qualified nonprofit members that serve children and their families in impoverished areas of the Seattle and Tacoma metropolitan region.
