Guytton Family Christmas

 Life is known to be unpredictable, but sometimes it seems that chaos suddenly becomes the norm. For the Guytton family, chaos began one bitter winter night when they received a phone call that changed their lives forever. Joyce Guytton received the painful news that her sister had died that evening in a car accident. Despite the pain, Mrs. Guytton had to remain strong for her children, and for her sisters six children, now motherless. It was a pain impossible to describe as the sisters were close. In spite of the debilitating emotional pain, Mr. and Mrs. Guytton agreed to take her sister’s six children into her home. God prompted Mr. and Mrs. Guytton to seek his love in abundance so that she would be able to spread it out to a family that now had nine children. In their obedience and trust God proved faithful, they found small bits of provisionto provide for such a large family.
 
Just as the new Guytton family began to readjust,  Mrs. Guytton’s daughter called and told her that she had lost her job. Due to this loss, she and her 3 children moved into Joyce's home, now totaling 12 children! With only two people working in a household of 15 people, the Guytton’s needed a miracle. On December 25, 2009, they received that miracle when they were selected by Maranatha Church in partnership with World Vision to receive a complete Christmas package, including gifts for everyone and a beautiful tree stocked with ornaments!

It is a real blessing to see the impact that WorldVision has on not only our ministry partners but also how we are truly transforming families and our communities.
