Kris Wamsley, Mission Coordinator
Kris Wamsley is the Mission Coordinator at World Vision Appalachia. She is responsible for all communications and logistics of the mission trip programs. She is also available to answer any questions you may have regarding your trip. Kris and her husband Mike live in Hendricks, West Virginia. She is very active at the First Baptist Church in Parsons where she helps with the youth ministry.

Doug Fisher, Mission Trips and Training ConsultantDoug-Fishersfw.jpg
Doug is the Mission Trips and Training Consultant for the Appalachia Mission Trips. He is responsible for mission leader training and can also answer general questions regarding your trip. Doug and his wife Beth, moved to the Philippi area from Arkansas after Doug's retirement in order to serve with World Vision.

Reggie moved here from Clearwater, Florida and was previously in the secular world of Business at Senior Level Management Positions. He has been involved in many offices of the church body, such as Personnel Department, Deacon, Usher and Sunday School Teacher. Reggie and his wife Gail live in Philippi and are very glad to be here serving with the ministry.

Amy Reid, Training & Capacity Building Manager
Amy Reid hails from Texas where she was in youth ministry and (college) campus ministry for the past 20 years, serving most recently as executive director of the Newman Center at West Texas A&M University. She now serves as the Training Manager for World Vision Appalachia, having moved to West Virginia in 2005. Her duties include providing training for World Vision staff, community partners and friends in ministry, and local families in north central West Virginia. Amy also oversees World Vision’s KidREACH program, the Youth Empowerment Project, and the Family Initiative program. Amy and husband Tim live in Bridgeport, West Virginia and have four children and three grandchildren.

Bobby Benavides (aka "Big Bobby B"), Domestic Program Associate
Bobby moved to Appalachia from Southern California in June 2003 to serve as an intern, and in March 2004 was appointed as the Youth Outreach Worker for Peoples Chapel on Chestnut Ridge. In this role, he encourages, enriches, and enhances the lives of the young people in the community. Bobby loves hot chocolate, movies, all kinds of food, good conversations, and lots of laughter.

Jennifer Morral, Domestic Program Associate
Jennifer works primarily with middle school students considered “at risk,”
conducting after-school programs, tutoring, and Bible studies. Originally
from Southern Virginia, Jennifer moved to the Appalachian area in
2005 with her husband, Michael, a Barbour County native. Michael,
Jennifer and their son, Drew, currently reside in Elkins, West Virginia.

alansfw.jpg Alan Shalosky, Construction Project Manager
Alan is the construction project manager at World Vision Appalachia.  Alan
and his wife Debbie along with their two Jack Russell terriers recently
moved to Philippi from Pennsylvania.  He first visited the area five years
ago as part of a missions team from his home church and has continued to
build on those relationships.  For the past 30 years he has worked in all
phrases of residential construction as well as having built several
churches.  He and his wife have always been very active serving in various
ministries within the church and are excited to see what God has in store
for them here.  Hopefully there will be some time for bass fishing.
